A couple of weeks ago I wrote an essay on the axiom “As above so below”. This post got a lot of traffic to the log, many people are looking for Hermes Trimegistus on the web! While researching I also came across a document on The Hermetic philosophy of ancient Egypt and Greece.
Until now I have studied lots on consciousness, magic, miracles, and how can I make my life worth living. With the search for Hermes trismegistus this book called Kybalion got a hold of me too. It is said to be the essence of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus. You could label it Hermetic magic, or principles that apply to everything in the universe. It is not known who wrote this book, except that it was written by three Initiates around the early 1900′s.
Anyway, it explains in readable words how the universe works and how things happen. The Seven Hermetic Principles in the book are:
1. The Principle of Mentalism
2. The Principle of Correspondence
3. The Principle of Vibration
4. The Principle of Polarity
5. The Principle of Rhythm
6. The Principle of Cause and Effect
7. The Principle of Gender

I did a study on The Kybalion. If anyone wants to get a closer look at the law of attraction and learn how to apply the higher laws of life, then contemplate what is presented in this meaningful writing.
