Writing a blog on being radiant will also attract the downside of the game of life. To balance the negative and the positive side or something like that. Just like everyone else, I have had some ugly things happening and have found meaning in some of the experiences. Landmark Education has a program called The Forum which I did in 1998.
This was a help to further investigate what meaning I attach to events that happened. They have a way to look at things that made me aware of two things. In a nutshell I can put them as:
1. An event occurs in my life, a nasty thing that hurts.
2. I make up a story about what happened and especially what it means.
Number 1 and 2 do not match, ergo the suffering begins.
Yesterday I wrote about how I have this idea that you and I get the things that we need rather than what we want. It is still a thought and I am working on it and investigating more.
Today I heard about a book only just released called Courageous Souls:
Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth? Free PDF files of chapters of the book are available also on the website.
This raises a different issue again. Do we really plan our lives included the greatest challenges before we are born? So that we can grow spiritually? This can only be true if we can be comfortable with the idea of reincarnation. The book is also channeled and the writer made us of mediums to get this information. But alah, in the process of information gathering, I will surpass this. My intuition and common sense will guide me to what I can use of it.
On the website of the book they say:
“Would you like to understand the deeper meaning of your greatest challenges?
So often, when something “bad” happens, it may appear to be meaningless suffering. But what if your most difficult experiences are actually rich with hidden purpose—purpose that you yourself planned before you were born? Could it be that you chose your life’s circumstances, relationships, and events?”
In the book ten people worked with four mediums and channels to discover what they chose before they returned to earth and why. Apparently they planned physical illness, having handicapped children, deafness, blindness, drug addiction, alcoholism, losing a loved one, and severe accidents.
Just imagine what that entails and how this fits in my original line of thinking. You get what you need and perhaps you even planned it. What do you think?
